It was already stated in the founding idea of the savings banks that sustainable measures in the areas of the environment, social affairs and corporate governance are central values in the company as a guideline for daily activities.

Sparkasse Pöllau has thus been integrating the sustainable lifestyle since its foundation in 1872 – deposits from the region are passed on for loans in the region.

A characteristic feature of Sparkasse Pöllau and a significant difference to other banking institutions is its public service mission. In recent years, the focus has been deliberately placed on the topics of saving energy, regional purchasing and waste avoidance. Above all, however, the sustainable cultivation of employee relations has been a major concern for 150 years now. This is visible in the low staff turnover and the long-standing employees who come directly from the region.

We have been looking for an education provider in the region for a long time that offers exactly what a modern and sustainable company needs. We are very pleased that we now have the Academy for Sustainability in our vicinity and would like to actively use the educational offer for the further training of our employees.
